We started as energy consultants. We built the software we were missing.

Since 2018 we have been giving industrial companies, ESCOs and energy consultants the tools to see quickly which decarbonization measures really pay off.

From consulting to software

2018
J4 srl is founded, consulting between research and industry
High value-added expertise, combining academic research with hands-on experience in industry.
2020
We see the real obstacle to decarbonization
The technologies exist. What is missing is a fast, reliable way to estimate the economic impact of the investments that energy efficiency projects require.
2023
We become a startup and Energy Co-Pilot is born
At the end of the year we close a round of over €1M with Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, RoboIT and Pariter Partners, to speed up the development of the technology and our growth in the market.
2024
Among the top 100 Italian startups
We enter new sectors, including fashion. Sales Co-Pilot is adopted by national utilities and ESCOs.
2025
From a single company to the whole supply chain
Together with one of the leading global luxury groups, we take decarbonization along the entire supply chain, with an energy efficiency roadmap for every supplier.
2026
From factories to buildings
We launch Buildings Co-Pilot for the energy analysis of real estate portfolios. Meanwhile, Decarb Co-Pilot becomes the reference methodology for the transition of fashion and other sectors.
