Careers
Under article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), this notice explains how we process the personal data of people who send us an application through our website.
Last updated: October 2026.
Section 01
The data controller is J4 srl, Via Luigi Configliachi 41/A, 35031 Abano Terme (PD), Italy.
For any question about the processing of your data, or to exercise your rights, you can write to info@j4.energy.
Section 02
Identification and contact data (first name, last name, email, phone), your area of interest, your LinkedIn profile if you share it, your CV and any information you choose to include in your message.
Please do not include in your CV data that the selection does not need, in particular special categories of data (for example health data), unless the law requires them.
Section 03
We process the data only to assess your application, run the selection process and contact you about it.
If you apply for an open position, the legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). For open applications the legal basis is your consent (art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
Section 04
The fields marked as required in the form are needed to assess your application: without them we cannot consider it. The other data are optional.
Section 05
The data are processed electronically, by authorised staff, with technical and organisational measures that protect them against unauthorised access, loss or disclosure. They are not subject to decisions based solely on automated processing.
Section 06
The data are available to the internal staff involved in the selection and to the providers of our technical services (for example website hosting, email and application management tools), who act as processors under art. 28 GDPR.
The data are not published or passed on to third parties for their own purposes.
Section 07
The data are processed in the European Union. If a provider were to process them outside the European Economic Area, the transfer would only take place with the safeguards set out in articles 44 and following of the GDPR, such as an adequacy decision of the European Commission or standard contractual clauses.
Section 08
We keep your application data for 24 months from receipt, so that we can contact you about other positions that match your profile. After this period, or earlier if you withdraw your consent or ask us to delete them, the data are deleted.
If the selection leads to employment, the data needed are moved to your personnel file and kept as described in the related notice.
Section 09
At any time you can ask for access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and you can object to the processing (articles 15–22 GDPR) or withdraw your consent. To do so, write to info@j4.energy.
If you believe the processing breaches the GDPR, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it), or with the supervisory authority of the country where you live or work.
